We record structural testing of aircraft components, using several cameras which must frequently be as much as 30 meters apart, and desire to upgrade our existing surveillance-grade multi-camera system to data grade. Is there any single-source supplier who can integrate and guarantee a 4-camera system which will reliably record at 30 FPS from each camera with NO dropped frames, and at least 720x480 resolution? Would GigE be a likely interconnect technology for such a solution?

Please consult our web site atwww.norpix.com. We supply and develop softtware and turnkey systems for multiple camera recording systems. We have solutions for either 4 or 8 cameras as you wish. Gige is supported with many cameras.

Dear experts, I have a GigE Vision camera and a Vision Acquisition software. Now I'd like to try to multicast the data stream. The specification (v1.0) only says that the protocol supports mcasting (chapter 10.5) but I have found nothing about what the receiving application should look like. I suppose it is just a "normal" mcast receiver. Or is a second connection with the camera necessary?

What camera are you using?

I have a need for a vision system that has the following requirements. Are there any complete vision systems that will work? -IR capture -Min 30 fps capture rate, preferred 60/120 fps or faster -Capture for 1 min when triggered from a TTL signal -Auto save to hard drive, or other recording device and auto reset for next capture -100 feet working distance between camera and control computer Thanks

Check out StreamPix from NorPix. We are listed in all machine vision directories and we are strictly speaking machine vision.

So David, before you talk research.

I am developing a Cine film scanner with the purpose of restoration and archiving of film material. For this, I am using an old frame by frame 35mm projector. So far, I have all the mechanical parts functioning and controlled by a PC, now I will add a digital camera to capture each frame of film with the best possible resolution and quality and color. The question is, which camera I should use? I have a Nikon D200 and planned to use it, but I realized it will break apart before finishing a feature film. I think 115,000 frames at 2 fps will break all mechanical parts made of plastic of the commercial digital photos. So I turned my attention to MV cameras. Do you believe their quality is good enough for capturing film with the quality it deserves? Like it would do a SLR? Which MV camera has the best resolution? I saw there are some 4k but with too little pixels (5 um2). What's best for this pourpose, CCD or CMOS? Many many thanks, Juan

Take a look at our web site,www.norpix.comwe have support for many types of machine vision cameras and software for recording to disk. Luc

We are looking for some camera solutions to monitor our shop floor CNC systems. Our requirements are: 1) To view machine (spindle) when it's stopped. 2) Be able to view from the internet. 3) Possible works with third party to send e-mail/text messaging. Also, I was wondering if having a single dome-type is better or dedicated to each machine (mounted). If anyone could offer some suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks Hugh

We have high speed video recording software that would allow you to do the monitoring along with sending the data to the internet for viewing.

We want to scan the uneven edges of boards sawn from treetrunk prior to edge straightening and do it in an industrial process. We need to get manageable data on the edge curvature from both sides, the up and down side of the board. Can you suggest any good solutions? Yours, Hannes Tarn

I have analog cameras with 4 channel PC cards and corresponding software for digital video recorders, and desktop applications. How can I connect the acquired image to NI Vision, which only recognizes USB cameras on my computer?

We support the Euresys board that allows capturing of 4 NTSC cameras either compressed or uncompressed. Check out Streampix 5.http://www.norpix.com/products/streampix5/streampix5.php

Want to install wireless (or wire if wireless not feasible) cameras over a continuous steel casting project. A small PowerPoint presentation is available to give more details on the project and the associated constraints. Need help to find a robust solution to solve this request from my process department.

Can you send me your presentation? What do you want the cameras to do?

We are a company located in ALBANIA ,Durres; operating in security systems and communication. We are looking for a line scan camera that we can use in our project. We are planning to make a kind of under vehicle image scanner to have a scanned image of a under-vehicle. So we need a camera line-scan which can do 1024(or 2048) px b/w or colour with C mount lenses (or an adapter to use C lenses), also with an interface to connect to a PC like GigaEthernet. Can you offer us a product which can work for us and for this project? Where can we find a store to buy your products, can you sell directly? Please send us a detailed offer technical and economical for the products that match our needs. Thank you & Best regards

We want to capture an image from our wallpaper making machines. The line moves at a max speed of 130 Metres /min. and we want to capture a colour image every minute and output this image to a computer over ethernet. What spec would the camera need to be in terms of Frames per second and shutter speed. The computer screen resolution would be 1024 x 768 in 32 bit colour. Thanks

Check out our StreamPix 5 DVR software along with the Remote or AV Streamer. We can do this application using our software.
